DocPrime, the healthcare venture of PolicyBazaar, will make an investment of $15 million in preventive healthcare over three years.

Started in August 2018, DocPrime offers online consultation and permits users to book appointments with doctors and diagnostic labs through its platform. The healthcare firm claims to innovate using artificial intelligence and machine learning on its platform.

In September 2018, DocPrime had received initial internal funding of $50 million from parent company PolicyBazaar Group.

Ashish Gupta, Chief Executive Officer of DocPrime, said, "The plan is to invest 30% of the total money in building the healthcare business."

Presently, DocPrime has more than 20,000 doctors and 5,000 diagnostic labs on board. The company is facilitating over 4000 online conversations through its chatbot, with an average conversion rate of 4-5%.

"We wish to have a large network of 2,000 dentists and strategically align the progress of this segment with the business," Gupta added.
