- Domino’s touches 1000 restaurant mark in India
The American brand has opened its 1000th restaurant at Unity One Mall, Janakpuri, New Delhi. It is present in 227 cities in India.
Shyam S. Bhartia, Chairman and Hari S Bhartia, Co-Chairman, Jubilant FoodWorks Limited, says, “When we first brought the brand to the country, almost two decades back, there was no Pizza culture in the country. A lot has changed in the past twenty years, except the undying resolve of the ever-growing Jubilant FoodWorks family that is committed to offer an enhanced experience to the customers each time they interact with them.”
Speaking on the occasion, J Patrick Doyle, President and CEO, Domino’s Pizza, adds, “Domino’s Pizza has a vast global presence spanning across over 80 countries and the India operations have emerged as our largest single country operations outside of the US. What makes the achievement even more remarkable is the short span of time within which the India team has accomplished so much. The growth story of Domino’s India is truly a benchmark for all of us and I wish them all the best for the future.” Richard R Verma, Unites States Ambassador to India was also present at the inauguration.
The company in a press statement says Domino’s Pizza has aggressively strengthened its presence in tier-II and III cities in the past few years. Over the years, Domino’s Pizza has rolled out innovative products and campaigns to make pizzas an essential part of the lives of Indians. The brand has also made strategic investments towards strengthening the supply chain, bolstering the technology infrastructure and creating a network of motivated employees to ensure that consumers get the best quality and the most hygienic products that they love.
