Dr Batra's aims to double store count

Dr Batra's Positive Health Clinic Pvt Ltd is planning to double the strength of its clinics in the next five years. The brand hopes to increase its clinics strength from present 146 to around 350 homeopathy and 15 international clinics by 2016.

On their expansion plans, Dr Mukesh Batra, Founder- Chairman, Dr Batra’s Healthcare Group, says: “We also intend to have our aesthetics centers in 25 cities including international. We are looking at around 10,000 outlets in India and 5,000 in Middle East by 2017 for our products’ business. We launched our veterinary division and are looking at expanding it as well. We will soon be launching Dr Batra’s Academy where we will start post graduation training courses affiliated with universities in August 2014."

"As of the current financial year, we plan to have 350 clinics owned and run by us and these are largely spread across tier-I and II cities in India.  However, we see a large growth opportunity and a need to spread to tier-III cities. Furthermore, a survey indicated that 48 per cent of practicing homeopaths would like to join Dr Batra’s banner. These are two strong reasons why we are just getting into the franchise model. It gives us the perfect opportunity to amalgamate homeopathy in India with the scientific, standard platform of Dr Batra’s,” he further adds.

Dr Mukesh Batra, India’s leading homeopath, founded Dr Batra’s Positive Health Clinic Pvt Ltd as a patient-driven institution in Mumbai in 1982. From a single-doctor clinic in Mumbai, it is today a chain of 146 clinics spread across 74 cities in India and abroad with over 325 full-time doctors.
