Dr Batra’s announces healthy expansion plan

Dr Batra’s Healthcare is looking forward to opening 50 homeopathy clinics across India and abroad this financial year. The company has 200 clinics in four countries, he said, adding that most of them are in India. At present, the company has 149 company-owned clinics and 51 franchise units. Outside India, the clinics will be opened in the UK, UAE and Oman. The company has one company owned clinic at London as well.

"We will be opening a total of 50 clinics during the current fiscal year. Out of these, 44 will be in India and up to six will be abroad. The clinics will be a mix of company-owned and franchise model. While the clinics in metros and bigger cities are company-owned, clinics in tier III and IV cities are franchisee-run," says Mukesh Batra, Founder Chairman, Dr Batra's Healthcare.

Further strengthening its expansion plans, the company is also escalating its presence in other verticals beyond homoeopathic treatment such as Dr Batra's Aesthetic Solutions and Dr Batra's Positive Health Products. Apart from India, the company is present in the United Arab Emirates, the UK and Bangladesh. "Apart from strengthening our numbers in the markets that we are present in, we are also looking to enter new cities such as Patna, Cuttack, Jodhpur, Meerut and Warangal in the country," Batra adds. Commenting about the investment requirements he specified it as around Rs 30 lakh per clinic in India and between Rs 1-2 crore abroad, without the land cost."
