DRS Group to franchise its education venture

DRS Group, a logistics service provider plans to set up 50 schools by diversifying its focus on the education sector. According to company sources, a majority of the schools will be franchised and the rest company owned.

The company is going to open their first five schools in Nagpur, Amravati, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Ranipet (Tamil Nadu). All these schools will be opened through its brand Edify Education. Edify Education will combine the best teaching techniques and practices of CBSE and other global orientations.

Moreover, the company hopes to set up 10 schools every year henceforth. DRS Group is further going to set up 11 schools with investments of Rs 465 crore.

All the campuses will have temperature controlled classrooms and other facilities like swimming pool, skating ring, student performance tracking software and smart boards.
