Ducati Motor Holdings, Manufacturer of world`s finest Italian motorcycles, which sells 40,000 bikes worldwide in 71 countries through a network of 800 dealers has zoomed in India

Ducati Motor Holdings, Manufacturer of world`s finest Italian motorcycles, which sells 40,000 bikes worldwide in 71 countries through a network of 800 dealers has zoomed in Indian and plans to sell its motorbikes through two exclusive showrooms in Mumbai and Delhi. Early next year, three more exclusive showrooms will be added in Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai. Ducati superbikes, with engine capacity between 700 cc and 1,100 cc, generate an output of 90-180 horsepower and meet the Euro III emission norms. The company will import 50 bikes this year and may scale up if the response is good. Ducati has signed a master franchisee agreement with Precision Motors India Pvt. Ltd. Led by Ashish Chordia as the Chairman and Ceo. Precision Motors India is an established company from a group which represents prestigious brands in India; including Porsche, Audi, NetJets, Fendi, Dolce&Gabbana, etc. Ducati plans to give five dealerships across the country in one year. The company is working towards materialising the first dealership in Mumbai. They will sell Ducati motorcyles on the twin platforms of luxury and high performance to a class of consumers comprising successful hyper-enthusiasts, who drive for entertainment. They plan to sell around 50 units in the first year.
