Gurugram-based CollegeDekho.com has raised $8 million in Series B funding led by existing investors GirnarSoft and London-based Man Capital. The fresh capital will be used by the company for expansion, research, product development and technology enhancement.

Edtech startup offers a platform that facilitates interaction between students and colleges.

Ruchir Arora, Co-Founder and CEO, CollegeDekho.com, said, "The current round of funding will strengthen our ability to create more engaging internal and customer-facing products."

Founded by Ruchir Arora, Saurabh Jain, Rohit Saha and Rajiv Singh in 2015, the startup began with 10 colleges and universities. Currently, CollegeDekho.com claims to be working with over 400 colleges and universities and 300,000 students across India.

Amit Jain, Founder of GirnarSoft, stated, "Guided counselling service is scarce in India and only 2-3 per cent students have access to this data currently. We are certain that as the education sector continues to grow rapidly, CollegeDekho will play an important part in bridging this gap and shaping the future of students in our country."
