- Edtech startup Cuemath Ropes in Govind Rajan as Chief Operating Officer
FreeCharge’s former CEO Govind Rajan has joined edtech startup Cuemath as its chief operating officer, sources said.
Rajan will primarily be responsible around strategy while also taking care of marketing, product, technology as well as expansion.
Cuemath is a home-based after-school, multi-format math learning programme that brings together technology and personal teaching.
Industry veteran Rajan has worked across brands like Airtel and Unilever, before his stint in FreeCharge. According to his LinkedIn profile, he spent almost 16 years at Unilever. He was also the CEO of Airtel Money and the chief marketing officer, B2C, at Airtel.
“Rajan brings to the table experience from traditional FMCG and telecom industry. He has also worked with FreeCharge, which makes him a correct fit for a company like Cuemath,” said one of the sources. The company confirmed the development.
Cuemath is a home-based after-school, multi-format math learning programme that brings together technology and personal teaching. The company raised about $19 million in funding from Sequoia India and Alphabet’s CapitalG.
