Elating design & inimitable ambiance of Sama Spa at Bengaluru Marriott Whitefield

The contemporary design of Sama Spa has a lot to offer to its guests, apart from therapeutic treatments and rejuvenating experience. Spread in an area of 5,059.08 sq ft, the spa offers numerous Ayurvedic treatments, Body scrub, wrap, Couple Massage, exclusive Eye Treatments, Facials, Fitnessclasses & counselling, Hair & scalp treatments, specially designed Men’s grooming services and much more.
    Wellness India talked to Gaurav Apte, Resident Manager, Bengaluru Marriott Whitefield to know more about the spa interior, furniture, lights and flooring etc.

Elaborate on the design layout of the spa. What is the philosophy behind its designing? 
The spa is not too spread out which was one of the ideas behind the design. The proximity retains the overall ambiance that has been created in the spa rooms. It’s located on the 1st floor of the hotel behind the gym and the Jacuzzi/steam rooms for guests to experience an overall wellness treatment.

What kind of spa furniture/bed being used in the spa? Elaborate as per the significance of it for the wellness retreat.
We use the standard spa bed used worldwide, which has an adjustable cushion bed. 

How many spa/therapy rooms, reflexology stations are available in the spa?
Two individual and one couple massage room. 1 Jacuzzi, 1 steam room and 1 sauna room in both Ladies and Gents Section respectively.

What kind of lights among day light, artificial dim light, chandeliers etc. being used to enlighten the spa?
Dim Light or Dimmers, Tea Candles
