- European Laundry Service Startup Jeff eyes to foray into India with 200 franchise stores
Jeff, an on-demand laundry and daily services startup, is venturing into the Indian market. The Valencia-based company is looking at adding 200 franchise stores in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Delhi NCR.
At present, Jeff offers its services in more than 2K franchise stores across 40 countries.
Eloi Gómez Cal, Co-Founder and CEO, Jeff, said, “India is becoming an epicentre of economic growth rapidly.”
“To add to this, the country has been at the forefront of internet and telecom play; and has consistently witnessed the influx of ex-pats and global Indians settling into cities like Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Gurugram, to name a few,” Cal added.
Jeff was founded by Adrián Lorenzo, Eloi Gómez Cal and Rubén Muñoz Trapote in 2015. Earlier known as Mr. Jeff, the company offers laundry and dry-cleaning services at home through a mobile-based app.
In 2019, Jeff unveiled launched two new services, BeautyJeff and FitJeff. While BeautyJeff allows users to book salon appointments for several services, including styling, haircuts, hair color, manicures and many more, through the app, FitJeff allows customers to book fitness classes.
Cal further stated, “No country, which is planning to scale and generate brand recognition, can ignore India. Jeff’s entry into the Indian market will provide unique opportunities for entrepreneurs and investors in India, especially the ones looking for a fast return on investment.”
In the Indian laundry market, the company will compete against UClean, PickMyLaundry, LaundryAnna.
