Apart from the company owned stores, the brand is also open to franchise model to expand nationally.

With the coming up of its first retail outlet in Pune on Monday, Soul Space, a Kolkata-based organic and fairtrade certified fashion brand has kick-started its strategic expansion across the country. The brand plans to expand in Mumbai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad taking up the total number of stores to 20 in the current financial year.

The brand already has its presence in e-commerce platforms like Myntra, Jabong, and Amazon besides its self-owned website. It is planning to launch 20 more stores across India by FY 19-20. Apart from the company owned stores, the brand is also open to franchise model to expand nationally.

Rajat Jaipuria, Director, Living Green Fashions Pvt. Ltd. said, "A new generation is marching for revolution and they want to wear the clothes that tell a new story. Soul Space gives them the true story of who made their clothes and how. The brand believes that nature holds the key to our aesthetic, intellectual, cognitive and even spiritual satisfaction and thus all clothing is completely organic and fairtrade certified. Soul Space clothing helps you to reduce your carbon footprint and give back to earth with clothing that is ethically made.”

"Sustainable fashion is about being kind to our environment, sensible with our resources and treating our fellow garment workers like human beings. This means looking at the tag, using what you have and being creative in our wardrobe choices. We believe that all fashion should be made fairly, transparently and ethically. We want to make sure that measures are taken to look after our workers and makers and also to those who wear our clothes because as we all know that the procurement of cotton involves some dreadful unhealthy outcomes,” said Jaipuria.

He added, “Growing cotton in the farm applies 22.5 percent of all the insecticides and 10 percent of pesticides used globally. Every year, around 20,000 farmers experience severe health-hazards even death due to poisoning. Hence we are working on this noble cause to help the farmers and to spread the message to care about the people and planet by wearing rational fashion. All the garments of Soulspace are General Organic Textiles Standards (GOTS)certified and Fairtrade certified with a promise to be produced in a way that uses methods and materials that lessen the impact on our environment and does away with pesticides and toxic chemicals.”
