Fast casual, which is positioned somewhere between fast food restaurants and casual dining restaurants, is the fastest growing segment in the QSR industry. The main reason is consumers are looking for food solutions on the go besides value for money and taste. Exposure to global culture, changes in the demographic profile, higher disposable income, higher propensity for consumption and experimentation and availability of multiple choices are the other key drivers of the growth in India. Moreover, with the advent of foreign QSRs in India and easy access to world class food and services at an affordable price has aided 'fast casual concept’ in the country.
