The company is expecting 60% growth in total by the end of this Rakshabandhan festive season against last year.

As Rakshabandhan is just around the corner, Ferns N Petals has witnessed a changing trend in the buying behavior of Rakhis and gifts this year. More customers are buying Rakhi online than before; probably to maintain social distancing and because e-commerce companies are promising 100% contactless deliveries in this tough time of the COVID-19 crisis. Ferns N Petals is getting approx. 9000 orders per day, even when the festival is three weeks away.

The company is experiencing an excellent growth of 100% in orders as compared to last year and expecting a 60% growth in total by the end of this Rakshabandhan festive season against last year. FNP is optimistic that revenue from Rakshabandhan 2020 will contribute around 7%- 8% of the overall revenue by the end of the 20 -21 financial year.

The company is delivering in almost 80 countries worldwide this year and is offering free shipping and promise to deliver the same day in certain countries like Canada, UK, UAE, Singapore, South Africa, Malaysia, Indonesia and a few more and next day delivery in most of the other countries like USA, Australia, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, etc.

Manish Saini, COO (e-commerce), Ferns N Petals, said, “We understand the pure bond of love between a brother and a sister. Hence, we have come up with 1000+ designs of Rakhis this year to serve our customers with a variety so that they order online and remain safe & secure during this unprecedented time. We are taking all the safety measures like sanitizing all the items that are being shipped and ensuring contactless deliveries.”

“We are observing a 100% growth rate in orders as compared to last year, as we are getting almost 9000 Rakhi and gift orders every day. However, we have witnessed a 6% drop in the average ticket size of purchase, mainly because of a new segment of the customer (with small ticket size) coming online, who are taking the precautionary measures to be safe and shopping online,” he added.
