- Ferns ‘n’ Petals to blossom at 40 more locations
Ferns ‘n’ Petals, a Delhi-based florist is all set to launch 40 more retail outlets, mostly through the franchise route across the country by the end of next financial year. The company is planning to open two to three stores in a month so that by the end of this year they may add 16 outlets.
Post expansion, Ferns ‘n’ Petals would have retail outlets in 45 cities, from its presence in 40 cities presently. The company shall be opening stores in Gwalior and Vishakapatnam for the first time and is keen to increase the number of stores in Mumbai and Ghaziabad.
Though a majority of outlets will be opened through the franchise route, yet the company is keen to have retail company owned outlets as well. The selection between franchise and company-owned outlets will be decided on the basis of individual case-to-case with each store entailing an investment of Rs 8 lakh.
The company had been forced to delay its expansion plans due to the rentals that had reached unsustainable level.
