Franchise India Holdings Limited (FIHL) has entered into a collaboration agreement with Southbank Institute of Technology (SBIT) to establish a pan India vocational training business to service the growing needs for qualified staff in the retail and hair and beauty industry. The Queensland Government initiative was formalised at the Australian High Commission in New Delhi recently by senior delegate Robyn Tyler, Director, Southbank Institute, Tony White, Director, FIHL and Gaurav Marya, President, FIHL.
Robyn Tyler, Director, SBIT informs: “We recognise there is a huge demand for specialised training packages in a growing economy, such as India, and we believe a partnership between ourselves and Franchise India will be of huge benefit to India’s economy. Not only will the training packages be highly specialised to suit the Indian marketplace, but they will be adapted to match the skills and experience needed by specific businesses.”
The coming together of Franchise India Holdings and Southbank Institute of Technology is a significant step in addressing the shortage of quality vocational training in India.
Speaking on the occasion Gaurav Marya, President, Franchise India said; “I am delighted today to have an alliance with SBIT, one of Australia’s premier vocational training institutes and largest government tertiary education, training system in Queensland Australia.”
