Giving a push to womenpreneurs, FirstCry under its new ‘Premium’ section has launched ‘Mompreneurs’ who are selling their products and brands on the site. There are around 70 mompreneurs on board that are selling handmade products on FirstCry. Most products fall in the Fashion & Party Wear category, while few others are infant wear.
The brand has introduced 164 niche brands in its ‘Premium’ category that would offer handpicked delights and exclusive products to the urbane and elite audience.
Supam Maheshwari, CEO and Founder, FirstCry, says, “It gives us great pleasure to announce a brand new Premium section. We have always wanted to bring to Indian parents the quality and variety that is available in Western countries. We have brought on board 60 international brands in our premium category. In addition, we are also looking at extensively roping in mompreneurs who can sell their products and brands on our site. In future, we aim to source more brands from Turkey, Philippine, Vietnam, Israel etc. We are looking at bringing in 150 more international brands by March 2016”
Speaking about selling on FirstCry, Mamta Asher, Mompreneur said, “I have my products under the brand name Twisha selling on FirstCry.com in the Premium section. Before I started my own business, I always felt there was a gap in the market for quality and fashionable kidswear, thus Twisha was born. Considering the mass reach that FirstCry has, we thought it was the perfect platform to showcase our collection to quality seeking moms who regularly shop here.”
