Baby products retailer FirstCry.com hopes to take its store count from 150 to 700 over the next three to four years.

The brand presently runs 150 stores in 85 cities and eyes adding another 100 stores, including franchise ones, this year. The company is also bringing into its portfolio about 200 global brands this year, and further wants to expand its Babyhug brand under which it has about 17,000 products.

“The baby and kids industry that FirstCry operates in is booming and the future too looks extremely sound. FirstCry would seek to strengthen its leadership position in the baby and kids retail industry in the coming year. We would seek to nearly double our store count to further fortify our omni-channel presence and leadership,” says Supam Maheshwari, CEO, FirstCry.com.

Earlier, the brand had introduced ‘Same Day Delivery’ to target its customer base which majorly consists of young moms. The service is the express delivery service in the e-commerce industry that is not charged to the customer. It has received fantastic testimonials on the service and this is also evident through the significant increase in its Net Promoter Score.
