UFC GYM is taking franchise route to expand its presence in the Indian market.

Fitness franchise UFC GYM has announced its next big expansion strategy for India in order to woo body sculpting enthusiasts and fitness aficionados. The brand will open two UFC GYM Signature Clubs in Noida, and CORE UFC GYMS in Mumbai, Goa, Bareilly and Bangalore, respectively.

The gym chain is committed to focus on expansion, innovation and delivering a one-of-a-kind member experience.

The Indian fitness market: Size and Scope

The Indian fitness market has garnered revenues of $908 million at the end of FY2018. Further growth in the segment, expected at a CAGR of 9.3% between 2018 and 2022, will likely take the total market value to a whopping $1,296 million in 2022.

Istayak Ansari, Managing Director and Founder, and Farzad Palia, Chairman, UFC GYM India, stated, “Revenue in the Fitness segment amounts to 1,640 million dollars in 2019. Revenue is expected to show an annual growth rate (CAGR 2019-2023) of 6.6 per cent, resulting in a market volume of 2,118 million dollars by 2023.”

Expanding via Franchise Route

UFC GYM is taking the franchise route to expand its presence in the Indian market. The fitness franchise is targeting at reaching 15 clubs in number by the end of the year 2020.

Farzad Palia stated, “We are taking the franchise route to penetrate in the Indian market and plan to reach 15 clubs in number by the end of the year 2020. We want to reach to all tier-2 and tier-3 cities where people are less aware of a healthy lifestyle than in tier-1 cities because of the penetration of modernization.”
