Five Fat Monks, a restaurant that specialises in Pan Asian delicacies, started its operations in January 2014 in Mumbai and is in franchising from the past 2 months. The brand is now looking to expand to other cities and soon will open its 2 outlets in Pune and 2 outlets in Bangalore. The brand is in final stage of negotiations with these franchisees.
Five Fat Monks is fancying franchise model for expansion in other cities in India. It has introduced a unique concept of live kitchen ambiance, wherein guests can actually view the cuisine while it’s prepared, can interact with the chef and be rest assured of the hygiene factor. When it comes to price, it is quite affordable at Rs 350 to 400 per head. Five Fat Monks is all set to target the master franchise and wants to have 200 to 250 restaurants within next 3 to 4 year and total investment should be around 17 to 20 lakhs.
