Thai brand Five Star Chicken is fast expanding in India with 330 outlets opened across Bangalore, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Pune and Mumbai.

“We intend to open 100-150 Five Star Chicken outlets pan-India in the next two years,” Sanjeev Pant, Senior Vice President, CP Foods, shares with Franchise India. In the last quarter, the brand had entered Trivandrum, Kollam, Mallapuram, Thiruvananthapuram, Kannur, Trichy, Davangere, Ramnagar, Bijapur, Gulbarga, Chitradurga, Belguam, Kolar, Pune, Chitoor, Ananthpur, Vijaywada, Guntur, Nellore, Vigaz, West Godavari and Kurnol.

The brand was founded in the year 1985 in Thailand and comes from a Thai multi-national conglomerate- CP Foods with over $13 billion sales in agro and food industry globally. It is one of the most popular brands in Asia with presence in nine countries with more than 7000 outlets in Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Malaysia, China, Bangladesh and India. In India, Five Star Chicken had launched its first outlet in November 2012 in Bangalore.
