Focus Group has recently ventured into the educational services market with Focus Edu. Care. The company plans to open more than 150 centres of Focus Edu Care by the next two years. The institution will offer vocational coaching as well as coaching for competitive exams to its students.
The Bengaluru based company has opened 20 centres and is further planning to strengthen its presence across India. As told to Abha Garyali of FIHL by Gopal Krishnan, Associate Vice President, Focus Group, “We will be setting up a total of 150 centres by the next two years through the franchise route.” He further informed, “We will be opening these institutes pan India.”
The company will be investing Rs 35-40 crore in this project. With these outlets, Focus Group is aiming to bridge the gap between demand and supply of the education sector in India by offering training in fields ranging from competitive exam coaching, healthcare, finance and to other vocational courses. Globally, the tutoring industry is a growing field, but in India it is fragmented with tutors teaching individually. Focus Edu Care also aims to emphasise on interactive sessions between teachers and students with the help of teleconferencing services.
