AND Designs India Limited (ADIL), one of India’s best known fashion houses, has appointed Milind Sarwate as their Independent Director. 55 years old, Milind Sarwate, brings with him over 31 years of experience in Finance, HR, Strategic Planning and Business Development. His rich background in consumer products and services (Marico, Kaya and Godrej) will be of value to ADIL, in its quest to grow and create value.
Milind’s long stint at Marico Limited included various roles - Group CFO, Group CHRO and Membership of its Group Executive Committee. He played an institutional role in shaping the Marico story, through Shareholder Value Creation, inorganic growth, corporate structuring, information technology, GRC, talent management, corporate branding and social responsibility.
Commenting on the same, Mukesh Sawlani, Co-Founder and Managing Director, ADIL says, “We are very excited to have Milind on board. He will be working closely with the Board and our Senior Management.”

Established in the year 1995, And Designs India Ltd. (ADIL) was founded by Anita Dongre, Meena Sehra and Mukesh Sawlani. It owns three brands- AND, Anita Dongre and Global Desi. The brands retail through a mix of 154 exclusive company-owned stores and over 500 multi-brand large format stores in 59 cities. The company has recently entered Mauritius with four stores across the three brands.
