The selected companies underwent a rigorous strategy audit by an eminent jury, before the winners were selected.

Commenting on the win, Aditya Vij, said, “It is a proud moment for us. The last few years have accentuated the attractiveness of India as a destination for investment and this has led us to further emphasise the importance of India in our growth plan. We have also initiated several transformational initiatives to raise our game to the next level. This award is in recognition of the fact that our strategy is taking the right trajectory to expand access to high quality healthcare in the country.”

The National Competitiveness Forum, held prior to the awards ceremony, brought together private sector leaders, renowned thinkers and civil society representatives to discuss solutions to the pressing and emerging issues. Economic Geography and Competitiveness, Technology and Competitiveness, Enabling Industrial Development and Realigning Institutions, were some of the key themes deliberated upon by the eminent panel of national and international speakers. The Fortis CEO was part of a discussion.

The event was organised by the India Council on Competitiveness, a joint initiative of the US Council on Competitiveness and the Institute for Competitiveness, India.
