Franchise India 2011, the 9th Asia’s largest franchise and retail opportunity show held at Hotel Ashok on December 2 and 3 concludes to a great success.

Franchise India 2011, the 9th Asia’s largest franchise and retail opportunity show held at Hotel Ashok on December 2 and 3 concludes to a great success. The show was organised by Franchise India and Bloomberg UTV, supported by LIMA (International Licensing Industry Merchandisers' Association), Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and Indian Franchise Association (IFA).

The show witnessed tremendous response with over 27,000 visitors, over 300 exhibitors, 150 speakers and above 500 business delegates. The comprehensive showcase also featured IFA Frantalk specially devised and organised by IFA. The session put forth the principles of franchising and the opportunities it offers.

Speaking on the occasion Hon’ble Minister (MSME), Sh Virbhadra Singh said: “I congratulate Indian Franchise Association (IFA) for organising the event. Franchising in India is still in nascent stage. I feel such events will benefit the broader community including franchisees, franchisors, employees and their local economies.”

The show was marked by a comprehensive exhibition covering all the industries extensively with massive domestic and international participation, informative and enlightening conference and workshops, with prominent international and national speakers to impart knowledge, power breakfast, seeking growth for stakeholders, an elite networking night, and the highly prestigious Franchise Awards 2011 and Star Retailer Awards, to recognise the excellence in franchising and retail.Alongside the presence of leading franchise companies at the exhibition, the platform also featured four conferences that ran on both days of the show, bringing together over august 150 speakers.

Sharing his experience of Franchise India 2011, Sanjeev Kapoor, Celebrity Chef, The Yellow Chilli, TV Show Khana Khazana stated: “For the last nine years, Franchise India has been highly instrumental in changing the face of modern retail in India. All the fundamentals of franchising were touched upon in the 2011 event, and I found this to be a unique aspect.”
