Franchise India is organising Indian Education Congress 2011, in support with Indian Franchise Association (IFA) and KPMG. The event is scheduled for April 22, 2011 and April 23, 2011, at Surajkund, New Delhi, from 9 am to 8 pm. It will focus on the business of education, which is one of the most prominent sectors of India.
Gaurav Marya, President, Franchise India said, “The government's education expenditure as a percentage of GDP is about 5 per cent and the consumption trends predict that the urban Indian is spending 9 per cent of his wallet on education while the rural consumer spends only 6 per cent. In view of huge requirements for infrastructure and manpower in the field, even if the government takes up the supply challenge, the time frame will exceed the youthfulness of our population.” He also added that the Indian Education Congress is an initiative of Franchise India that recognises the need to think more boldly and broadly on how to strengthen and expand their existing initiatives.
The Indian Education Congress 2011, as a biggest interactive forum, would consist of formal presentations, panel debates, round tables and personal meetings, exchange of ideas and opportunities within the area of growing Indian education sector.
