28th FRO 2010, India's national franchise and retail show held on 22nd and 23rd May at Nehru Centre, Mumbai concludes with great success.

28th FRO 2010, India's national franchise and retail show held on 22nd and 23rd May at Nehru Centre, Mumbai concludes with great success. The show was presented by RE/MAX India, the title associates along with the other valued associates namely, Chhabra 555, Iken Braingym and Club City. Asia's largest integrated franchise & retail solution company, Franchise India Holdings Limited (FIHL) organised the show in association with Indian Franchise Association (IFA).

The two day expo and conference showcased 150 brands and more than 10,000 investors. The brands that participated were Re/Max, Kwality Walls, Veta, Gitanjali Jewels, Belgique Chocolates, Brainsmith, Re-feel, I play I learn, Eurokids, Ashika Sarees, IndianCan, Samsonite, Planet M, Next, Raymonds, Promise Your Child, Nuetech, Jetking, Ambition Academy, Burgerman, DTDC, Tigers Connect, Seed Infotech, Chocolate Room, and many other more.

Speaking on the occasion Gaurav Marya, President, Franchise India said, “It is positive to note that gradually people are participating and taking up franchise opportunities aggressively. On day one itself, huge flow of business visitors was seen not only from Maharashtra, but also from all over India along with the neighbouring countries, counting over 4500. The show displayed Indian and global brands giving a broad perspective on franchising within the prominent SME sector, highlighting the leading concepts and know how in franchising comprising the entire fraternity under one roof.”

Sam Chopra, Director RE/MAX India speaking on the occasion highlighted, “Franchising is perhaps the strongest catalyst of the entrepreneurial development in the country; it provides brands like ours an opportunity to expand their reach and network across the nation and then take advantage of this network to enable entrepreneurs to make their local business global.”

The event also witnessed the two day Entrepreneur Summit to encapsulate the crucial business tools. Francorp also organised a Knowledge Series Master Class led by L. Patrick Callaway, President of Francorp Inc. The show also unveiled India’s First Franchisee Report released by IFA. The survey was based on responses received from 1500 franchisees. Some of the important brands that participated in the survey were Subway, Koutons, IMS, Time, EuroKids, Reliance Money, Vodafone, Raymonds, Shaadi.com, Puma, Titan Industries Ltd and Aditya Birla Retail.
