- Future Group targets 10,000 direct franchisees in 2014
Running a growing retail chain in value as well as lifestyle format, Future Group is aiming to further expand its franchise network. 2014 is being touted as an apt year for the same. The brand is all set to tap the potential of nearly 10,000 Big Bazaar Direct franchisees.
Big Bazaar Direct is a franchisee-based model, wherein the franchisees would personally visit consumers to take orders for products.
Vivek Biyani, Director, Big Bazaar Direct, said, “We would have around 10,000 Big Bazaar Direct Franchisees by the end of this year. We expect an average business of around Rs 5 lakh from each franchisee in a month.”
Each franchisee is expected to report a business of about Rs 60 lakh on an average. Biyani added that the franchisee-based models have already been launched by them in Hyderabad, Mumbai, Gujarat and Delhi. Further, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan are in pipeline. Eventually, the target is to tap all regions across India by the end of the financial year.
The company is focusing on kirana shops, insurance agents, medical stores and persons engaged in professional services such as payment of bills for selecting franchisees. The brand promises an electronic device to its franchise partners. The device would carry all the required information about its products and offers.
