- Georgia Gullini plans expansion in India
Georgia Gullini, an Italian menswear brand is planning to aggressively expand its brand’s presence in India. The company is looking to open 100 outlets in India in 2013-14. As per a company official, the suiting manufacturer is likely to opt for franchise route for the planned store openings. The company will strategically target tier II and III cities initially and it will expand into the metropolitans’ cities later on.
Georgia Gullini plans to utilise multiple channels to extend its reach across the country. The company is aiming for retail turnover of Rs 100 crore via its distributors and looking to reach Rs 180 crore by the end of the FY 2014 via franchising. Besides, it has recently appointed 1,400 distributors across India.
Georgia Gullini is backed by a state of art manufacturing facility named Global Wool Alliance Pvt. Ltd (GWA). GWA is promoted by Australian wool major Lempriere and GTM Corporation, Taiwan.
