- Globally renowned MAC cosmetics ropes in British pop singer Ellie Goulding
Giving rest to all speculations of signing Caitlyn Jenner, formerly known as Olympics winner Bruce Jenner, globally renowned cosmetics brand MAC has roped in British pop singer Ellie Goulding.
Fans of Jenner and everything she stands for caused a social media storm at the end of last week, with rumours spreading that the 65-year-old reality star might be the next face of MAC cosmetics.
Reportedly, a recent statement released by the brand said, “MAC cosmetics is a brand that embraces all ages, all races and all sexes, and is a longstanding supporter of the LGBT community. We are inspired by Caitlyn Jenner, her personal journey and we admire her courage and beauty. We have not signed Caitlyn as a spokesperson for MAC.”
While the brand was keen to show its support for Jenner, it was quick to shut down speculation over a signing. The brand has since confirmed that Goulding is to front the brand’slatest celebrity collaboration.
Meanwhile, Goulding revealed the news on Instagram and Twitter and messaged, "Oi oi SO excited to finally share what I've been working on with @MACcosmetics!!! #MACEllieGoulding drops in Dec/Jan!"
The post has created a buzz in social media platform, and received 171K likes on Instagram and 934 favourites on Twitter, as well as 377 retweets.
A sneak preview of the collection has also been released, with an eye shadow quad, bronzer/blusher duo compact, false eyelashes, lip gloss and lip colour products all centering around a rose gold and bronze theme.
No more news has been release regarding Goulding’s collaboration yet, however, a leading magazine Harper’s Bazaar reported that the collection will be available online from December 2015.
