- Godrej to invest Rs 50 crore for starting 5 new Script outlets
Script, Godrej's premium home furniture brand, will be investing Rs 50 crore this year to expand its retail outlets in India. Last year, the company had opened its first store.
Launching its second store in Kirti Nagar in New Delhi, Script is planning to start 4 more stores in other cities by the end of the financial year 2018-2019.
Rajat Mathur, Business Head at Script, said, "We will invest Rs 50 crore to open 5 new stores this year. Apart from a store in Kirti Nagar in New Delhi, we will open another store in the city along with a couple of stores in Mumbai and Hyderabad this year."
As part of its expansion, Script would open 18 stores in the next three years. Out of these stores, 5 will be launched in Delhi-NCR.
"We feel Delhi-NCR will contribute to 25 per cent of the brand's revenue and we are eyeing a turnover of over Rs 60 crore from this market in the next three years," added Mathur.
