- Gold's Gym India plans further growth
Gold’s Gym India is planning to further expand its presence across India. The company is eyeing tier II and tier III cities to tap country’s growing fitness market and plans to launch more than 30 fitness gyms by June 2013. Out of these 30 new gyms, five centres will be company owned and 25 units will be established through the franchise route. Each gym centre will require a minimum investment of Rs 3 crore. Further, the company aims to open 15 locations in the coming three to four months in cities like Pune, Ambala, Aurangabad, Bhopal, Barely, Faridabad, Mysore, Bhubaneswar, Ujjain, and Vijaywada.
The Gold’s Gym India operates through F2 Fun and Fitness, a Valecha-Advani group company, which has a master franchise for India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives, Nepal, Malaysia Thailand and Singapore. Presently, it has pan India presence through a total of 70 gyms across 38 cities.
