- Guardian Lifecare plans pan-India expansion
The pharmacy retail chain Guardian Lifecare is planning to open 600 stores across India over the next three years. The company is planning to set-up 50 to 75 stores every year and would invest amount of Rs 50 crore every year to expand its network across the country via ownership and franchise formats.
The company, a largest pharmacy retail chain in North India is looking for expansion within seven states where it is already present and thereafter spread its network pan-India. It has well established presence in South and West India and recently started franchise operations. The company hopes to achieve 30 per cent growth for the next fiscal year.
Currently, the company is operating through 230+ stores in 26 cities of the nation. It also has presence inside hospitals with over 11, 000 beds in various private, central, state government and charitable hospitals.
