Gulf Oil Lubricants India Limited (Gulf Oil) and Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd (Piaggio India) have strengthened their strategic cooperation by extending it until 2030. This renewed agreement intends to provide premium, co-branded lubricants for Piaggio's commercial vehicle segment in India and certain other markets.
The partnership, which began in 2020, has focused on producing lubricants that meet the specific needs of Piaggio's vehicle lineup, including BS VI and electric vehicles. These sophisticated lubricants are intended to improve performance, lifespan, and overall vehicle efficiency.
Gulf Oil Lubricants India Limited's Managing Director and CEO, Ravi Chawla, expressed his enthusiasm for the renewed cooperation. He underscored Gulf Oil's commitment to delivering speciality lubricants for a wide range of vehicle types, as well as the potential for growth in India's commercial vehicle industry, which is being driven by infrastructure development.
Diego Graffi, Chairman and Managing Director of Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd, reiterated Chawla's remarks, underlining the importance of the collaboration in creating high-quality components that enhance vehicle performance. He stated that Gulf Oil's focus on EV fluids is ideally aligned with Piaggio's growing emphasis on electric mobility in the commercial lightweight and three-wheeler EV markets.
