Haier eyeing aggressive expansion plans

Haier, a Home Appliances and Consumer Electronics brand, plans to open 75 Haier Experience Centres or shop –in – shops by the year's end, confirms Eric Braganza, President, Haier India. These will be a mix of franchised and company owned stores. Apart from this, the company is also looking at adding-up around 600-700 stores in the next two years.

As per Braganza, “We plan to strengthen our network across the country currently we have 4,500 retail outlets across India which includes the overall dealers/ distributors network and MR outlets.” The Haier is targeting all Metros/ Mini Metros for the expansion. The location for the same has to be prime with assured footfalls and the right clientele for premium products.
