Hearing aid giant Starkey has launched a new device, namely Livio AI. It is an earpiece that's as much a connected wearable as it is an audio booster.
The AI and sensors present in it will improve your hearing. The device can automatically compensate for loud environments and switch modes based on location, with a mobile app providing fine-tuning.
Livio AI monitors a user’s physical activity, and can also gauge their "brain health". The hearing aid provides direct access to Amazon Alexa when used with one of its accessories. Other features include built-in language translation, tap control, dual-radio wireless for streaming audio from phones and TVs, near-field magnetic induction technology, and fall detection.
Available in North America, Livio AI plans to launch globally next year. It is loaded with features that would normally require a fitness tracker or smartphone.
