Renowned maker of herbal healthcare products, The Himalaya Drug Company has planned to launch an omni-channel strategy to connect its retail outlets to the ecommerce portal by the end of 2015.
The Bengaluru-based firm has extensive plans to make available a tablet in all its 150 outlets across the country. Consumers need to browse and order any of its products and it would be delivered in 1 or 2 days, in case, it's not available in the store. So far the company has rolled out this service in five stores across Bengaluru.
"This is the next vertical we are going to grow internally," admitted Ganesh Ramaswamy, Senior Manager - Digital Wing of Himalaya Drug Co.
He further said, the firm's Ecommerce site is growing 70 per cent – 100 per cent year on year.
Significantly, the company is also expected to launch its mobile application soon and will also expand its store network.
Meanwhile, Philipe Haydon, CEO, Himalaya told mediapersons, "On an average we are opening two stores every month and going forward we plan to get aggressive.”
He said the company looks to clock Rs 1,800 crore revenues in the current fiscal, rising from its last year Rs 1,500 crore figure.
