- Honor joins hands with Sangeetha Mobiles to enhance its offline presence
Honor, an independent internet smartphone brand under Huawei, announced its entry in the Indian retail market. Honor has partnered with Sangeetha Mobiles, one of the largest mobile phone retailing chain in South India. This deal is expected to catalyse Honor's goal of clocking 10x sales in 2015.
Honor has already gained customers across the country through its online sales partner Flipkart. Partnering with Sangeetha Mobiles is a step to further strengthen its presence. Commenting on the tie-up, Subhash Chandra, Managing Director, Sangeetha Mobiles Pvt. Ltd said, “We are looking forward to a long lasting association with Honor. With this association our customers will be able to enjoy privileges and exciting offers on Honor products at our stores.”
Sangeetha Mobiles has a network of 320 stores which are a mix of company owned and franchise stores. It is present across Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala with 60% of the stores present in Bangalore. Allen Wang, President of Consumer Business Group, Huawei India said, “We are overwhelmed with the response we have received for our Honor smartphones. To reinforce our commitment towards our customers in India, we have decided to introduce brick-and-mortar retail shops where customers can get a hand on experience of our smartphones.”
Sangeetha Mobiles has a strong market in South India. The association will help Honor in serving a larger customer base, especially those who like the touch and feel experience of goods before taking any purchase decision. This association further reiterates the importance of India as its priority market for Honor.
