The Budget has pegged an outlay of Rs 79,685.95 crore (US$ 11.952 billion) for the education sector for financial year 2017-18, up from Rs 72,394 crore (US$ 10.859 billion) in 2016-17—a 9.9 per cent rise.

The kind of education being provided to the generation reflects on the growth of the society.

India has been witnessing a dramatic change taking place in and around. Now we are one of the leading developing countries and are important part of the information technology revolution, which undertook in the world. Be it United States, Canada, Australia or Middle East, Indian have reached to the top notch position in leading companies for their knowledge and hard work.

One cannot deny the fact that for all this the credit goes to the Indian education system. India’s education system comprises of both government and private education, where the quality of education provided by private schools is better than the government schools.

At present, higher education sector witnesses spending of over Rs 46,200 crore (US$ 6.93 billion), and it is expected to grow at an average annual rate of over 18 per cent to reach Rs 232,500 crore (US$ 34.87 billion) in next 10 years.

Here are points to follow, if one wants to open a private school in India:

1.Business Plan:

After one has decided to open a private school, the first thing is to make a choice of opening private school for which category of students. One can open pre-school, daycare, K-12 or till primary or secondary classes.

After that one has to sit down to make a rough outline of the business plan.

The business plan should be created, keeping a strategy of counting profits and investment for at least 10 years in advance.

2.Management Committee:

After the business plan has been outlined, it is time to form a committee, keeping in mind the committee should have members, who are experts in different areas, including education, legal, accounting, business, and construction.

It makes easier to keep an overview of the work going on, if the responsibilities are distributed to the respected committee. Moreover it is impossible for one person to take care of such a huge organization.

3.Essential Documents:

To open a private school, it might take a good two years time, minimum and a huge amount of investment.

Before pouring in that amount of time, energy and money, a certain essential things need to be taken care of. You have to produce it in writing, to the Department of Education, as to why, where, how and when are you going to come up with the school. How can it benefit to the people in that locality.

An environment certificate should also be cleared, as you will be responsible for a lot of children, who will not only spend the important hours of their life but also will breathe.

Affiliation certificate is important as without it the students would not be able to attend the public examination or get the benefits of its expertise curriculum.

4.Land Allotment:

For establishing an entire campus requires a huge amount of land, where the school building will be erected, play ground, parking space, drinking water, electricity and auditorium will be spaced out of that piece of land.

For this one has to purchase lands from DDA or MCD.

After fixing all this, one is good to go ahead with the construction, hiring and admission process.
