Hunter Douglas India, a company of window coverings and manufacturer of architectural products, plans to come up with 22 franchised window fashion galleries by 2012, confirms a company official. Hunter Douglas India is a 100 per cent subsidiary of Netherlands-based Hunter Douglas.
Presently, the company is spread out with 28 galleries in 10 cities across the country. The new galleries would be opened via shop-in-shop format in tier I and tier II cities. The company seeks franchisees with some prior experience in the home furnishing segment.
Hunter Douglas India is also aiming to increase its market share to 40 per cent in the next five years from the current 15 per cent in the Rs 800 crore unorganised window coverings market by increasing the dealership network.
