Ambulance service provider StanPlus is looking at setting up its own fleet ambulances called RED and further improve its technology.
Recently, the Hyderabad-based company has secured $1.5 million in a pre-series A funding round led by Pegasus FinInvest along with Hyderabad Angels and its existing investors.
Founded in 2016, the healthcare startup was started by Antione Poirson, Prabhdeep Singh and Jose Leon. Currently, StanPlus has a fleet of 350 ambulances operating in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Kochi. It has collaborated with more than 25 hospitals to design its medical response system and already.
Prabhdeep Singh, CEO of StanPlus, said, “We recently received our pre-series A funding and we will be using the investment to build our own fleet of ambulances called RED. Already 20 RED ambulances are operational and we plan to take this number to 100 by the end of this year.”
The healthcare services startup has transported 2,500 patients in March itself. It is aiming to increase the number by improving technology that will, in turn, reduce time taken to reach a patient. The funds will also be used to expand its operations across India and cover all medical response categories.
Earlier, StanPlus had raised $1.1 million from Kalaari Capital’s seed fund Kstart and INSEAD Angels Asia.
