‘I Am She’, a brand of Tantra Entertainment Pvt. Ltd (TEPL) has selected 30 beautiful women who have made it to the ‘I Am She’ contest. Former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen will now provide a platform to Miss Universe India aspirants in India through her brand ‘I Am She’ that holds the franchise right for 2010 Miss Universe India Pageant. This contest is preliminary to the 2010 Miss Universe competition and its finale will be held on May 28, 2010.
The selected 30 contestants will undergo three weeks of intensive training in communication, diet, personal grooming, fashion, and fitness. Sathya Saran, Jamuna Pai, Lubna Adam, and Sandip Soparrkar will guide these girls through this hard-working, disciplined yet exciting journey. The contestants will be treated with the best apparel brands like Marc Jacobs, Stella McCartney, Moschino, Alberta Ferretti, Jean Paul Gaultier, Lanvin Alexander McQueen, Halston, and Diane Von Furstenberg in the finale. Certain sections of the grooming tenure will be handled by TSG group and Westin (official hospitality partners) will be providing the contestants a home away from home.
TEPL along with the Alchemist Group hopes to inspire the youth and ignite the nation’s collective consciousness towards pressing issues like cancer, environmental awareness, child welfare and people with special needs. This contest is purely a celebration of life, self discovery and confidence for these contestants.
The I AM She 2010 is all about celebrating uniqueness, and self. And, it has been successful in discovering our Indian women who have beauty, brains, heart and a spark of what it takes to represent the nation on a global platform like the 2010 Miss Universe Pageant. Miss Universe Organisation conducts the pageant in 95 countries across the world every year through its global franchises. This year the winner from 'I Am She' contest will represent India at the Miss Universe contest unlike before when the winner of Femina Miss India used to represent the country.
