- IIM Calcutta kick-starts 5th Batch of PGDBA Programme, jointly offered with ISI, IIT Kharagpur
Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, the first Indian business school crowned with triple international accreditations, has inducted 62 students in the 5th batch to its prestigious Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics Programme offered jointly with Indian Statistical Institute and Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
The Freshers’ programme commenced with the Chairperson PGDBA, Prof Sahadeb Sarkar’s address to the students where he shared with the participants about the salient features of the program and how they can make the best use of the opportunity to learn and develop skills required to be excellent analytics professionals. He also mentioned that this tailor-made course aims to strengthen the statistical and analytical skill of the students alongside their management knowledge.
His address was followed by the Director, Prof Anju Seth who in her speech acknowledged the students’ aspirations and their understanding of the pulse of an industry which had prompted them to apply for this course. She encouraged the students to maximize the value of their interaction and help each other succeed.
Prof Bodhibrata Nag, Dean (Academic) and Prof. Prashant Mishra, Dean (New Initiatives and External Relations) spoke about how this programme is an innovative initiative of three internationally reputed institutions of higher education which has delivered high impact learning for the participants. They mentioned that incredibly talented faculty members at all three institutes will guide the students throughout their journey in the programme.
