“Empowering each and every child with the gift of compassionate teaching that leads to passionate learning”says Siris Turlapati

The pre-school revenue in India is $2.21bn, expected to increase to $3.24bn by 2017 at a CAGR of 27.33 % from 2011 to 2017.

80% of the Indian pre-school Franchise Opportunity market is still unorganized, comprising of neighborhood non-branded pre-schools. Only 20% of the market is organized and owned by the branded pre-schools.

It is observed that now there is a huge shifted from fragmented unorganized sector to organized branded play schools. The pre-school industry in India is therefore under penetrated and is less than 4 percent of the total market potential.

In an exclusive interview with educationbiz, Mr. Sirish Turlapati, Chairman & Managing Director, Iris Florets spoke about maintaining a  mark iin the Preschool Industry.

How has been your journey so far in the Education Industry?

We are based out of Hyderabad. Within 2 years, we are close to more than 100 schools across 8 states in India. We are expanding in other parts of the country. It has been a wonderful and encouraging journey. In the midst of huge competition in the industry, we have been able to establish a good number in a span of 2 years.

What makes Iris Educare different from other institutes?

For us, all the three parts that has helped in constituting this institution say, Academics, Activities and Advertisements should go hand in hand. With about 150 preschools PAN India, Iris Educare is planning to open 150 preschools PAN India in next 12 months. Iris Educare is highly focused on Technology: Talking pen, which reads all our books, 3D AV Theatre, ERP, Mobile App, CC TV surveillance, Support management System and Transport Vehicle Tracking System.

Innovative Learning centres, like Little Picaso, 360º Fitness Studio, Amphi Theatre, O2 Organic Farming etc., which helps to improve children’s motor skills, confidence, communication skills, leadership qualities etc.

When did you start franchising & what attracted you towards franchising?

It all started aiming to deeper market penetration where 80% market is still unorganized and huge scope for quality preschools. Also, the USP of the company is tilted towards Transparency & Effective Support System, along with several International Collaborations

How has been the franchise network in so many years?

Since inception, we have dream target to reach 1000+ schools in seven years. So, our next 5 years target would be to achieve 700 to 800 schools. We have about 150 preschools PAN India. We are planning to open 150 preschools PAN India in next 12 months.
