Indian Terrain, a premium brand for casual wear is all set to take its store count to 100 in the next two years through franchising. The company further plans to become a brand of 100 crore rupees by the end of this financial year.
According to Charath Narasimhan, CEO, Celebrity Fashions, “Indian Terrain worth Rs 80 crore now and we expect it to become a Rs 100 crore brand by March, 2011. We are confident that there is a 25 per cent growth possibility, year-on-year, over the next four to five years.”
Celebrity Fashions, a long time garment exporter, entered the domestic market by launching Indian Terrain ten years ago. It presently operates through 45 outlets in India. Majority of these outlets are in the southern regions of India, except Maharashtra and Gujarat. Now the company is looking at expanding in the tier II towns in these two regions.
