IndusFila has planned to invest Rs.200 crore to set up 30-40 apparel and accessories shops within a year. A Bangalore-based textile manufacturer, IndusFila, supplies apparel to well-known global apparel brands like Nautica, Lee and Wrangler. The company plans to open 500 retail outlets in the next five years. The stores promise to retail "affordable" apparel for men, women and children. IndusFila is experimenting with various formats such as small stores catering to a single consumer category and mid-sized family stores. Apart from apparel, product ranges will include shoes and accessories for men and women. 80% of the products sourced from the manufacturing unit owned by the company itself. The company plans to launch its first store at Bangalore in September, 2008. The company has already signed two franchise deals and identified the locations for setting up its retail outlets.
