Film And Television Institute Of India (FTII), Pune

FTII is one of the top 5 preferred institutes in India for learning movie direction. It was started in 1960 and it has become an autonomous Institute under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govt. of India.

The Institute has come a long way from its humble beginnings. Today, the FTII is commonly regarded as a center of excellence across the world. Satyajit Ray Films And Television Institute, Kolkata

SRFTI was established in 1995 as an autonomous Institute under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govt. of India. It is also a member of CILECT, international Association of Film and Television Schools.

SRFTI has succeeded in articulating and disseminating classical and contemporary theories of praxis for the creative minds to leap into the world of professional practice: be it mainstream, parallel, art-house, experimental or non-fiction narratives. Whistling Woods International, Mumbai

Whistling Woods International is growing beyond the helm of a popular film making school in India and is all set to become a creative university in the country and across the globe. Well known for its quality education of film making in India, the school has designed specialization programmes in film making, animation, acting, media and communication, music and fashion among others. 

WWI is owned by the popular bollywood director Subash Ghai and was started in the year 2006. The school has got links with many international film schools which helps in getting opportunities across the globe. It has excellent infrastructure with all the latest equipments used in the film industry.

National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad.

The National Institute of Design (NID) is an autonomous status attained Film School based in Ahmadabad, India. In a survey conducted by the Business Week in 2010, the institute has been placed in the category of “Top Design Schools in the world.” Alongside of other design courses, NID is offering 4-year courses in film discipline.

NID also conducts workshops for industry professionals and students all year long. Some of these are for industry professionals only.

Asian Academy Of Film And Television, Noida

Started in 1993, AAFT is the first acting institute in south Asia to get ISO 9001:2000 certifications. It has alumni’s not only from India but across the globe. It offers diploma and masters degree in various categories. Education and training for various courses are provided by expert media practitioners supplemented by visiting guest lecturers who are leading exponents of their specialised skills in the practical craft of film & television production.

The academy is affiliated to the International Film & Television Research Centre which aims at raising professional standards of films and television presentations.
