- InterContinental Hotels Group launches a property in Chandigarh
InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has opened Holiday Inn in Chandigarh. IHG franchises, leases, manages or owns more than 4,900 hotels and 720,000 guest rooms in nearly 100 countries, with more than 1,200 hotels in its development pipeline. This is the group’s tenth Holiday Inn hotel in India and first hotel in Chandigarh. The hotel is located on the Kalka-Shimla highway providing easy access to a number of tourist attractions as well as commercial hubs, making it a great choice for both business and leisure travellers.
With eight meeting rooms and event spaces, Holiday Inn Chandigarh-Panchkula is a great choice for business meetings as well as large scale events. Holiday Inn is one of the fastest growing hotel brands in the world, with 87 hotels and 20,100 rooms open across the Asia, Middle-East and Africa (AMEA) region and a further 50 properties in the company's development pipeline in AMEA. Globally there are almost 1,200 Holiday Inn properties open and 267 properties due to open within the next three to five years.
