What inspired you to take the franchise of Kidzee and Mount Litera Zee School?
The idea behind setting up a school came while I was searching for a good school around. I was scouting for a school that had ample space to supply fresh air, a class room containing different components of learning tools, a library rich with knowledge, a full-fledged playground and not a miniature one, faculties and staffs dedicated towards students well being etc. Inexperience in this field prompted me to look for a brand having high brand equity (Zee Learn Ltd) but not having so much spread in the region and therefore would have lot of scope to explore, that made me approach Zee Learn to start both Kidzee and Mount Litera Zee School here.
How do you foresee the education industry?
Education franchising report 2009 gives an overview of the growth of Indian economy and the consumption. The overview states that education is the second largest expenditure after food. Presently, in India not only middle class even poor families spend 20% of their disposable income on private schools and universities. Private initiatives are typically perceived as hallmarks of quality education and given the demand, Indian entrepreneur are ready with massive expansion plans, which will provide thrust for the education sector to grow multifold.
How has been your journey with Zee Learn?
I have been with Zee Learn Ltd since 2011. The concept ‘Great School’, ‘Great Future’ appeals me. The franchisee team has always been highly supportive. The initial hazards during the teething period were seamlessly addressed by their technical team and thus never impacted towards a steady growth.
How has been the growth so far?
Our trust possibly has benefitted out of fast movers advantage of roping with Zee Learn. The growth so far has been steady. The school already started participating at different diversified activities and suitably been rewarded too. Least to mention, a national sanitation award received in the very first year of its operation from President of India. MLZS is one of the fastest growing school networks in the country today with over 80 schools across India and Kidzee is the largest chain of pre-school in Asia with presence in over 550 cities across India. I am proud to be a part of this growth and the brand.
