- Ishika Taneja etches her name in Guinness Book for doing fastest airbrush make-up
As a mark of tribute to the braveheart Nirbhaya, victim of 2012 gang-rape incident, leading make-up artist Ishika Taneja, who is the younger daughter of ace beauty expert Bharti Taneja, has set a new Guinness World Record of doing fastest airbrush make-up in just one hour at DLF Emporio, New Delhi.
The 26-year-old make-up artist made it to the Guinness World Record in her first attempt by using 3 colours on 60 models in 60 minutes, although the record breaking count was 60. The Airbrush Makeup done by her was divided into seven different steps, using ‘only’ the Airbrush equipment.
Dedicating her achievement to Nirbhaya in the presence of her parents, Ishika Taneja said, “Inspite of various steps taken by the government at all levels, not much has changed in the country. Through this event, I want to bring every possible change in the society. We the people, together, create society and this sensitive issue is not going to die an unnatural death. So, we all should come and pledge to prevent such further incidents from happening.”

Joining the voice of her champ, Bharti Taneja, Director, Alps Academy said, “Today, I feel extremely proud as a parent when my daughter has done something as historical as inscribing her name in the Guinness Book Of World Records. Ishika has utmost concern for unprivileged lot of the society. And when she expressed her urge to dedicate her ‘achievement of a lifetime’ to the country’s braveheart Nirbhaya, not only me but our entire family felt immensely gratified and proud.”
Not only dedicating her achievement to the braveheart of the country, as the beauty expert was deeply moved by the horrific incident, Junior Taneja has used this event as a platform to raise the issue of inhumane atrocities towards women and raised certain amount of fund which will go to the Nirbhaya Jyoti Trust. Moreover, 12 scholarships worth Rs 12 lakh has been endowed to women rape victims of Delhi, with 100 per cent job assurance by Bharti Taneja, Founder Director of The Alps Group.
