- IT solutions firm SoftAge forays into healthcare; plans to hire 1,200 employees
IT solutions and document management company SoftAge Information Technology released a press note, which disclosed that the company will diversify its business into the healthcare sector, after signing an agreement with Ravi Jaipuria (RJ) Group.
The agreement inked between the two aimed to set up sample-gathering centers for the RJ Group’s diagnostic lab chain Diagno Labs across the country.
Confirming the news, Ozair Yasin, Managing Director, SoftAge Group said in the statement released by the company, "Though traditionally IT and ITes has been our forte, we believed this to be an opportune moment to diversify into healthcare.”
Reportedly, the newly signed pact with the RJ Group will lead to setting up of 100 sample gathering centers for the RJ Diagno Labs across India in a span of 12 months and the SoftAge Group aims to hire about 1,200 people to attain the target.
Moreover, SoftAge plans to leverage its pan-India presence in 25 states and over 500 cities to accomplish this objective, the statement said.
Meanwhile, Diagno Labs Managing Director SanjoyMukerji said the firm plans to operate 100-plus lab locations and 10,000 collection centers over a three-year period.
"On the corporate front, we will have a client base of over 300 and hope to forge small hospital tie-ups in small towns," informed Mukerji.
RJ Corp-owned Diagno Labs operates a network of 1,500 collection centres, and is focused on smaller cities and towns.
